The College (HCE) is embarking
on an exciting new era of growth and development. As
the Director-Principal, I am excited to join the staff,
students and Governing Council in this effort. We are
living at a pivotal moment in history and HCE is in the
right place at the right time, having assembled a forward
looking engineering education programme designed to prepare
the next generation of engineers and business leaders.

With the completion of
the new building complex, all the laboratories
and workshops have started functioning from
the main campus itself. Facility for down-linking
the newly launched Eklavya Technical Education
Channel (Gyan Darshan 3) of the Government of
India with multimedia projector has been started.
HCE is the first engineering college in Haryana
to have this facility, which will enable all
our undergraduate students of engineering access
high quality lectures by eminent faculty from
all the IITs of the country.

Our young faculty reflects
our deep commitment to excellence. We also have a scheme
of inviting experienced guest faculty whenever needed.
This provides a nurturing educational environment and
makes the overall undergraduate experience a positive
one. Our intimate atmosphere made possible by our small
size allows for focused faculty attention to student’s
needs and concerns. In addition to classes, students
have many other opportunities to interact with faculty
on a day-to-day basis, on undergraduate projects, engineering
design competitions, internships and career counselling.

I am happy to report that
the combined efforts of the Governing Council
and staff to enhance the college infrastructure
and uplift the academic standard have already
started bearing fruit. As many as 42 positions
in university merit List were begged by the
students of the college till now.
